Why this is voluntary
The German Accessibility Improvement Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) has applied since 28 June 2025. For websites, however, it only covers those where consumers can conclude a contract — online shops, booking systems and customer portals (Section 1(3) no. 5 in conjunction with Section 2 no. 26 BFSG). No contract is concluded through this site: what you find here is information, an enquiry form, a support ticket and a way to apply for a job. This website is therefore not covered by the BFSG.
We hold ourselves to the same standard we apply in client projects anyway. An agency that offers accessibility as a service, and criticises overlay tools on technical grounds, should be willing to be measured against its own website.
The standard we apply
WCAG 2.2, conformance level AA. This is the same standard the European norm EN 301 549 refers to. Testing was carried out in light and dark mode, using a keyboard, at 400 per cent zoom and at a width of 320 pixels.
Areas tested
- Heading structure and landmarks on every page type
- Operation without a mouse, visible focus, skip link to the content
- Colour contrast in light and dark mode, calculated from the design tokens
- Forms: labels, error messages, and the link between field and error
- Alternative text, decorative graphics, ARIA markup
- Motion, zoom up to 400 per cent, target sizes of controls
Known limitations
We would rather name them than leave them out — a statement without any limitations is usually a statement that has not been tested.
- Spam protection in the forms
- The Cloudflare Turnstile widget is a third-party component with a fixed minimum width. On very narrow screens it has to be scrolled horizontally. If you cannot or do not want to use the form, you can reach us just as well by phone or email — both are on every page.
- Animated background in the header area
- The homepage shows an animated surface behind the text. No contrast value can be guaranteed for an individual frame, so we placed an opaque backing behind the text block. If your system is set to reduced motion, the animation does not run.
- Technology ticker
- The ticker on the homepage can be stopped with a button, and your choice is remembered. The same content is also available as plain text for screen readers.
- PDF documents
- Our terms and conditions are available as a PDF that has not yet been checked for accessibility. We will provide the content in an accessible format on request.
How we tested
We carried out the testing ourselves, combining manual operation with automated measurement: contrast values were calculated from the design tokens, keyboard paths and focus handling were walked through by hand, and overflow at 320 pixels was measured across all pages automatically. No independent body has audited the site.
Feedback
Have you come across a barrier? Write to us — we will look into it and come back to you. Please tell us which page it was on and, if possible, which device or assistive technology you were using.

This is not a statement under Section 12b BGG / BITV 2.0 — that applies to public bodies. Nor is it information under Section 14 BFSG, because this website is not covered by that act.
