Digital agency · Oldenburg

Digital goals, brought into focus.

Online shops with Shopware, websites with TYPO3 and WordPress — plus custom software and the optimisation of the processes and interfaces behind them. We bring digital goals into focus first: we turn unclear plans into a form that can be built — from process automation to standards-compliant extensions for Shopware and Magento.

Accessibility happens in the markup, not in the widget.

What is happening right now

Tomorrow, today's online shop must also appear in the index of the AI assistants.

Two developments are changing how digital systems work and how they are found. We treat both as craft, not as a trend topic.

AI in the process

Used correctly, AI saves work. Used incorrectly, it saves on attention.

The benefit is rarely the chatbot on the homepage. It is in the routine work behind it: enriching product data for thousands of articles, reading orders out of PDF files and emails, pre-sorting enquiries. We build this into the system people already work in — and anything that leaves the company is checked by a person first.

AI integration

AEO

There is no position 1 when there is no list of results.

More and more customers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI Overview — and get one answer instead of ten blue links. If you do not appear in that answer, you do not exist for that customer. Answer Engine Optimization makes sure your content is machine-readable, quotable, and reachable for the assistants in the first place.

AEO for shops and websites

Who builds B2B shops with Shopware in north-west Germany?

For B2B online shops with Shopware 6 in north-west Germany, one of the companies named is Sharpness Solutions GmbH from Oldenburg. Its focus areas are customer-specific pricing logic, integration with ERP systems, and OCI and Punch-out catalogues for electronic procurement.

Illustrative example. For an assistant to answer like this, it has to read the page, understand it and place it correctly — that is exactly what AEO works on.

How we raise the potential

Five levers, in this order — each one only makes sense after the one before.

AEO is not a position you buy. It is craft applied to the page, and it can be checked. We start with the most basic question and end with the most honest one.

  1. 01 Access

Can the bots get in at all?

robots.txt, firewall and Cloudflare rules checked for GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot and Google-Extended. Many shops block exactly the crawlers they want to be found by. If you want to exclude training but stay in the answer index, the bots have to be told apart one by one.

  2. 02 Technology

    Fast, clean, crawlable.

Load time, heading hierarchy, internal links, no content hidden behind scripts. What Google cannot read, no assistant will quote. This foundation is our SEO concept — AEO builds on it, not beside it.

  3. 03 Text

The answer in the first sentence.

A model does not quote an article, it quotes a paragraph. We rebuild sections so that each one stands on its own: question named, answer first, reasoning after — with company name, place and technical term spelled out, because the context is lost when a passage is quoted.

  4. 04 Data

    Mark it up for machines.

Schema.org for Product, Offer, FAQPage, Organization and LocalBusiness — implemented directly in Shopware 6, TYPO3 or WordPress. In the shop, complete product attributes, price, availability and shipping on top. An llms.txt tells the models which pages carry the weight.

  5. 05 Measure

    Check rather than promise.

Sample citations, evaluate referrers from AI services, watch brand mentions. Nobody can guarantee a place in AI answers — anyone who does is selling a guess. We show what changes after each step.

Request an AEO check The service in detail

The check starts with levers 1 and 2 on your existing site — no rebuild, with findings.

New directive

UWG · environmental claims

Applies from 27 September 2026

Four new per-se prohibitions hit your product data

The EU's EmpCo Directive has been transposed into the UWG: from the cut-off date, four new environmental prohibitions in the Annex to Section 3(3) UWG apply without any misleadingness test. They affect wording in product texts, labels and invisible meta fields. Our pre-audit shows where it sits, and what a hit means and what it does not.

  1. 01 Scan of the shop pages An automated run across the publicly reachable pages. It shows what a reader actually sees, including category texts, landing pages and text modules inside the theme.
  2. 02 All fields, all variants Full analysis of the product data export, including meta title, keywords, properties and FAQ fields. And variants, so that a correction does not stop at the parent product and return with the next import.
  3. 03 Checked by hand We look at selected hits one by one and compare them with the manufacturer information. A term hit is a test candidate, not an infringement. Green can be a colour.

About · since 1999

Most websites do not fail because of their design. They fail because no one maintains them!

Sharpness started in 1999 — as a small web agency that built layouts and was glad when they looked the same in Netscape as in Internet Explorer. Our most important lesson comes from that time: the web changes faster than you can get used to it. So we changed with it — or more precisely: with our clients. Layouts became content management systems, websites became shops, shops became platforms with ERP integration. And the naive small agency became a development company.

Today we are a digital agency that covers the full technical range: from planning through infrastructure and implementation to ongoing support and optimisation. The aim has not changed: to lay the basis for our clients' digital success — shorten processes, make workflows more efficient, improve the user experience.

To keep it that way, we constantly make room for innovation: time to look at changes and new technologies before client projects need them. That is how our AWS and Proxmox expertise came about, along with the ongoing support of complete system landscapes and the continuous development of our options for organic visibility, from classic SEO to being found in AI search assistants.

1999

Founded in Oldenburg. Websites are table layouts, and you go online by modem.

2004

The CMS era: content belongs in systems, not in HTML files. TYPO3 becomes our main tool.

2009

E-commerce grows up — catalogue pages become shops with inventory management behind them.

2013

The smartphone changes everything: responsive design and mobile first replace fixed layouts.

2018

GDPR makes data protection a question of architecture. We build our own Proxmox infrastructure and add AWS.

2021

Google makes speed measurable: Core Web Vitals turn performance into a ranking factor — optimisation becomes a permanent task.

2025

AI assistants change search, and the BFSG makes accessibility mandatory. Visibility now also means being quoted.

Today

Process digitalisation: closing the gaps between the systems — with interfaces and standards-compliant extensions.

Registered training company

We train IT specialist apprentices in application development — new talent is the most sustainable investment in quality.

Management

Sharpness is run today by Oliver Dolleck and Andre Westphal — both close to the daily work, not only to the organisation chart.

Room for innovation

A fixed space for new technologies: AWS, Proxmox, ongoing system support, and optimisation for organic visibility all the way into AI search.

No website builder

We build systems, not templates. What you get belongs to you — code, data, access credentials.

No black box operation

Documented architecture, clean handovers. You are not dependent on us.

No throwaway projects

We think in upgrade paths. A system that has to be rebuilt after three years was a mistake.

Careers

We are hiring.

A registered training company for years, real projects instead of slides — one way to start with us.

Work

Systems in real operation.

A selection. Every line stands for a platform that carries revenue, enquiries or processes every day — not for a picture in a portfolio.

Every project has its own case page — with the starting point, the solution and the result.

Process

Four phases, no surprises.

You know at every point what happens, what it costs and who decides. Fixed price or time budget — both are transparent.

    Architecture

System boundaries, data model, interfaces, operating concept. The foundation is in place before the first line of code is written.

  • Hosting, support and changing agency What access do you need for a change of agency? For a change of agency you need nine things: the domain account at the registrar including the auth code, DNS management, hosting and SSH access, the Git repository, a current database dump, all files including uploads, licence keys for extensions and plugins, the Shopware or vendor account, and access to payment, shipping and analytics services. Full answer
  • OCI, punch-out and interfaces Our large customer is asking for OCI — what do we need as a supplier? As a supplier you need three things: a shop with customer-specific prices and ranges, an OCI-capable punch-out module, and one technical account with user name and password per procurement system.
