Web agency for Cuxhaven and the North Sea coast

Fishing industry, tourism, offshore base: Cuxhaven lives on sectors with rules of their own. Sharpness Solutions in Oldenburg builds websites, online shops and interfaces that stand up to those rules — about an hour and a half away.

In tourism on the North Sea coast, the season decides. A website for hosts, holiday lets or leisure operators has to load as fast in high season as it does in November, with many times the visitors. We build sites like that with TYPO3 v14 or WordPress, host them on our own servers in Germany and size the technology for the peak rather than the average.

The fishing industry trades in goods that cannot wait. Its processes have correspondingly little patience with shaky technology: orders have to arrive in the inventory system, prices have to be right, interfaces must not stall overnight. We build Shopware 6 shops and API connections with PHP 8 and Symfony. Designed for load — and here that is meant literally.

As an offshore base, Cuxhaven attracts industry and suppliers whose requirements rarely stop at a company website. Typical are CRM systems, customer portals and OCI/punch-out connections for the procurement departments of large buyers. Projects like these we build as custom software — with Symfony, MariaDB and Elasticsearch when the volume of data calls for it.

An hour and a half of travel is no obstacle. For the project start and the important milestones we come to Cuxhaven, and in between we work remotely and in an ordered way. Planning, build and operation from one team. You can reach us Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 16:00 CET.

Frequently asked questions

Do you come out to Cuxhaven?

Yes. From Oldenburg it is about an hour and a half. Kickoff, workshops and sign-offs take place at your offices on request; the daily project work we do remotely, which keeps the journeys short and the costs in proportion.

Does your setup cope with seasonal visitor peaks in tourism?

That is what it is built for. We host on our own servers in Germany and add Redis for caching and Elasticsearch for fast search where they are needed. The sizing follows the high season, not the annual average.

Do you connect shops to inventory systems and CRM?

Yes, interfaces are one of our core areas. We build API connections with PHP 8 and Symfony — from the Shopware shop to the inventory system through to an OCI/punch-out catalogue for large customers.
